Just about the most powerful force in the human body, is the sub conscious mind. If you just think for a minute about learning to drive. At the start, there were so many things to think about, steering, changing gears, indicating, looking in mirrors. After time, practice ensured that all these things became a habit. You did them over and over so many times that consciously thinking about them was no longer necessary. Everything needed was done on auto pilot and it was your sub conscious mind that did that.

Well, what connection is there with that and losing weight? Well, if you use the concept of auto suggeston, you can help to reprogram your sub conscious to stay on a diet, to eat more healthy foods, to enjoy exercise and so many more things.

A lot of people fail to lose weight because each time they try, they program themselves to fail every time they try a new weight loss plan. In the past they have probably had poor experiences with shoddy weight loss plans and then they say to themselves, "This won't work for me, I know" and very soon they give up. Think back to when you have tried a new diet in the past. How long did you follow the plan? If you are truly honest with yourself, it was probably not long enough.

I am now going to teach you a technique that will help you to starve yourself of these negative thought patterns that are bombarding your sub conscious mind. It will help to retrain you, to make you more positive about your dieting and in turn, help you develp a thicker skin so that you won't give up whenever a diet fails to show instant huge results.

Your thoughts and emotions are like signals. When you feel down about weight loss or your diet, and you start to tell yourself that you are always going to be overweight, you need to stop what you are doing and follow these simple steps.

Step One. Think about what it is that makes you feel you'll always be overweight. You'll get an image come into your mind. Maybe it's of you feeling down about a diet or you in the future and you haven't lost any weight.

Step Two. Now concentrate on this image. This is the image created by your unconscious and it is telling you what holds you back when you try to lose weight. This image is taken by your sub conscious every time because you have programmed yourself to think this way and that is why you give up easily as soon as the diet does not give you immediate results.

Step Three. Drain all the colour out of this image. Shrink it in size and then move it away into the far distance. If it should reappear, repeat the process. Drain it, shrink it and send it into the distance.

Step Four. Replace this image with an image that shows you as you want to be. Healthy, fit and your perfect ideal weight. Get emotionally involved with this image, imagine how great it would feel to look like this. Make sure the image is in full colour and bring it closer to you.

Step Five. Hold your thumb and middle fingers together when you feel excited about this new you .

Now this may sound a little crazy, but this is a reall good technique for reprogramming your sub conscious. If you do this each and every time that you feel a little down about your weight loss or when you have negative thoughts, very soon it will be a habit.

This will eventually create a mind anchor for you and this will then ensure that when you press your middle fingers and thumb together, you will get that excitement about the new slim you that you want to be. Do the same when you feel negative about your dieting, just put your fingers together and your sub conscious will recognise the habit and use it to your advantage.

I do understand that at first this may seem very odd to you but it is actually based on the science of Neuro Linguistic Programing. This is not some silly idea thought up by an idiot. It is based on the science of the mind and it works in reprogramming yourself. Go on give it a try and stick with it!
